Dave and Gail Liniger, co-founders of Re/Max International, have been named recipients of the Hall of Fame Award at the 46th Annual International Franchise Association Convention.

Past recipients of the IFA Hall of Fame award include Frederick DeLuca, of Subway Restaurants, Ray Kroc of McDonald’s Corp., and David Thomas of Wendy’s International. The award was bestowed on Dave Liniger, chairman of the Greenwood Village-based real estate franchise network, and Gail Liniger, co-chair, at the Palm Springs Convention Center in Palm Springs, Calif.

The Hall of Fame honor was established in 1979 and is the oldest and most prestigious award conferred by the IFA. The winner must be a franchisor or franchisee who has contributed significantly to the advancement of franchising and to the benefit of IFA and the franchising community.

Re/Max International was founded in 1973 and has more than 115,000 sales associates worldwide, including more than 3,000 in Colorado. Re/Max was the first to offer affiliated agents 100 percent of their commission income, in return for fixed management fees for marketing and technology support.
