To date, there are up to 16,000 franchise chain stores in Shanghai, according to a report on the website of Special Commissioner’s Office in Shanghai, Ministry of Commerce.
In addition to convenience stores, other franchise chains in Shanghai include restaurants, coffee shops, laundry shops, and auto repair stores.
The 10th Shanghai International Chain and Franchise Business Opportunity Exhibition will kick off at the Shanghai Exhibition Center from Mar. 10 to Mar. 12. New franchise businesses, such as online franchises or foreign-invested financial product franchises, are expected to be introduced during the exhibition.
