DECLAN Rowan has ambitious plans to turn his $20 million recruitment company into a national business turning over $100 million a year.

Using the power of franchising, he believes the task is achievable.

Mr Rowan, 34, is joint managing director of Adelaide-based Extrastaff with his brother, Piers Rowan.

The company, formerly known as Rowan Recruitment, was established in 1990 and recently underwent a major rebranding and transformation of its structure.

Extrastaff has started a franchise operation in a bid to become a national company. It has offices in both Adelaide and Melbourne and employs 40 internal staff, plus between 400 and 600 casual/labour hire staff working at client sites. The firm recently sold its first franchise in Sydney in its Office division. It has established six franchise divisions – Industrial, Office, Executive & Professional, Technical & Engineering, IT and Health.
