The HoneyBaked Ham Co. and Café, the nation’s leading legendary specialty food franchise, famous for sweetly glazed spiral-sliced ham and other quality meats, announced today it will participate in a national program designed to help military veterans become franchise owners.

Busop 1:

The Veterans Transition Franchise Initiative (VetFran), coordinated by the International Franchise Association (IFA), involves the pooled efforts of HoneBaked and other franchise companies who have agreed to offer financial incentives to bring veterans into their franchise systems. VetFran offers incentives to former military personnel to help them shift from military to self-employment, including reduced initial fees to waived training costs.

“As IFA members, The HoneyBaked Ham Co. and Café fully endorses the IFA’s effort to express patriotic gratitude,” said Ken Caldwell, VP of The HoneyBaked Ham Franchise Co. “We’re committed to thanking veterans once again for their dedication to our country and preserving our way of life, embodied by the franchising model. HoneBaked is honored to take part in a program that will help veterans become small-business owners.”
