SANDWICH chain Subway has opened its 50th Scottish store, as it moves closer to its goal of having 210 outlets by the end of the decade.
After the opening of the latest branch, in Dumfries, Subway plans to launch four more in Scotland in the next two months. Since opening its first outlet in Scotland in 1999, Subway – which operates on a franchise business model – has created around 750 jobs north of the Border.
