Franchise Wire:

FASTSIGNS International, Inc., a sign and graphics company with nearly 500 locations worldwide, has relocated its corporate headquarters to a larger facility at 2542 Highlander Way in Carrollton, Texas. The new 37,000-square-foot facility is 10,000 square feet larger than the previous facility in Carrollton.

“This new facility gives us the flexibility to grow, and will accommodate our growth plans over the next 10 years, said Larry Lane, the president of the 21-year-old franchising company.

Located off Midway Road and Trinity Mills Road, the new building houses almost 100 corporate employees as well as a nearly 8,700-square-foot training facility, where owners of FASTSIGNS® centers and their employees attend classes and get hands-on practice with the technology used in the sign industry. Each owner who buys an existing FASTSIGNS® center or who opens a new store is required to attend two weeks of new owner training at corporate headquarters; the owner’s staff also must attend. In addition, ongoing training classes in technology, sales, design, management and other subject areas are held at the training facility.

“With this new training facility, we can increase our class seating and provide more room for students, said Lane.

The training area includes design, printing and trade show, lecture and production rooms. The computer and lecture rooms can be divided into smaller areas to accommodate different class sizes. Designed to simulate the selling area of an actual FASTSIGNS® center, the lecture room has counters and two sets of “menu boards, which are mounted displays of the types of signs and graphics typically designed and sold by FASTSIGNS® centers. The room is intended to give students practice in handling the sales process with customers.
