A national roll-out is transforming the way the company operates.
On a mission to improve security, Edward Hore began looking for alternatives to doing business over the internet.
IT manager of tyre retailer Bob Jane T-Marts, Mr Hore didn’t want to do business transactions - buying, selling, issuing cash receipts - on an unsecure public network.
He wanted a secure private network and the company has now almost finished a nationwide roll-out of a wide area network, with Ethernet ports to 142 sites, which include franchises, state offices and warehouses, company stores, Calder Park and Adelaide International Raceway. It took about 40 days.
After talking to Telstra, Primus and Optus, Mr Hore decided to go with Optus and broadband network services company Uecomm.

Who in their right mind would ever consider a Bob Jane T-Marts franchisee?
Bob Jane T-Marts are a laughing stock, lost in the business that was selling tyres during the 80’s.
Bob Jane lost the plot years ago and his son (?) couldn’t manage a orgy in a roman whorehouse.
Just look at how many stores have been closed or have been taken back as corporation controlled stores, due to the fact no one would buy a Bob Jane outlet today.
