Evening Times:

MONDAY sees the start of Scottish National Franchise week and prospects for the sector have never looked brighter.
Industry turnover reached £10.3billion last year, rising 13% to break the £10bn barrier for the first time - helped by Lisa Taylor, who decided three years ago she wanted a slice of the action.
She is involved in one of the 759 franchises in the UK - a number which has increased 6% over the last year - which employ 364,000 people. And 92% of those franchisees now claim to be trading profitably, up from 88% in 2004.
Lisa, 25, from the south side of Glasgow, is one of Scotland’s youngest franchisees and operates Domino’s pizza parlours in Kilmarnock and in Ayr. I posted this just incase any of my readers feel like going to the show. Whichfranchise.com will have a stand C130 Over 50 franchises will be on show Franchise Exhibition, held at SECC, Glasgow
