Biz Journals:

The president of Max & Erma’s Restaurants Inc. has decided to remain with the restaurant chain rather than take a real estate job.

Columbus-based Max & Erma’s said Tuesday Rob Lindeman will stay in his post with the company, which he has held since October. Lindeman had said May 11 that he would leave in July to become senior vice president of operations at the Casto development company. He said in a press release the board of directors asked him to reconsider.

“My heart is at Max & Erma’s,” Lindeman said. “We have a clear vision for the direction of this company. Our future is bright and I need to follow that passion.”

Company officials would not comment on the decision.
