Spring-Green Lawn Care Announces New President

James Young will assume the position of president of Spring-Green Lawn Care. Tom Hofer, current president and CEO, will assume the title of executive vice president and continue serving as Spring-Green Lawn Care’s CEO.

“Since joining Spring-Green Lawn Care in April 2004, James revitalized Spring-Green’s franchise sales efforts and under his leadership, we implemented several new initiatives that have helped Spring-Green prosper. James brings the expertise, experience and energy we need for Spring-Green to achieve success in its next phase of development,� said Hofer.

Young has a strong track-record of success. While in his late 20s, Young rose through the ranks at a nationally franchised retailer. He eventually became the company’s vice president of franchising before joining Spring-Green.

When Young started with Spring-Green, he saw a company that was well positioned in the marketplace and had the ability to make a few adjustments to its systems that would bring it from maintenance mode to leading edge. Programs such as a new web-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, a call center for new franchisees and improved direct mail marketing campaigns are all part of this initiative. Another innovative program known as Flex Start allows franchisees who open their business late in the season to operate in a part-time capacity until Jan. 1 of the following year when they must make a full-time commitment.

Spring-Green spent 29 years preparing for this and I am looking forward to influencing and leading this leg of the journey.
