MEDIchair, North America’s largest and fastest growing Home Medical Equipment (HME) franchise company is pleased to announce that following a Request For Proposal process, it has been awarded a Maintenance of Lifting Devices contract by Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) for the province of Ontario. The value of the 21-month contract is approximately $4.7 million.
“This is a significant contract for the 23 MEDIchair stores that service the entire Ontario market from Thunder Bay to London and Ottawa,” says Susan Tarrant, Director, Regional Support East.
“It is a testament to MEDIchair’s leadership position in the HME sector and to its expertise in Lifting Devices,” explains Tarrant. “Our blanket geographical coverage, our previous experience with Veterans, our full-service solution, our extensive knowledge of lifting devices, and our Ontario network of knowledgeable and experienced MEDIchair store operators were key factors that contributed to the awarding of this contract.”
MEDIchair is responsible for supporting and assisting VAC’s Ontario Region with the efficient operation of its Special Equipment Program. This includes the timely pick-up, delivery, equipment assessment, refurbishing and repair, storage, installation, dismantling, disposal and maintenance of new and recycled lifting devices. Some of these devices include stair lifts, vehicle lifts, porch lifts, incline platform lifts and residential elevators.
