Sometimes nice guys don’t finish last—they finish well-capitalized. At 45, Gary Findley retired from Curves International after helping put thousands of women into business for themselves. His strong Christian faith steered him away from what could have been a pretty nice retirement scenario to climbing back in the saddle, this time working with a number of diverse concepts—from fondue to facials.
When Gary Findley, 45, retired as president of Curves International in June 2004, he was a millionaire several times over.
He could have ridden his horse into the sunset, or his Harley, or continued his youth and men’s ministry full time.
Instead, he took his ‘retirement money’ and funded a new company that would continue what he started at Curves with founder Gary Heavin.
