Custom stuffed animal retailer Build-A-Bear Workshop Inc. told an investors conference Tuesday its acquisitions and integration of United Kingdom-based Bear Factory Ltd. and franchisee Amsbra Ltd. are continuing as planned.
The company, which completed the acquisitions in April, will take over 29 Bear Factory stores and 11 Amsbra stores. One Bear Factory store is located in Ireland while the rest are in the United Kingdom. It will close about four of the stores.
Build-A-Bear finished the conversion of its fifth store on Monday at Grosvenor Centre in Chester, England, chairman and chief executive Maxine Clark said. All store conversions are expected to occur in time for this year’s holiday season.
The company expects to rebrand and convert about 25 Bear Factory stores, according to president and chief operating officer Barry Erdos.

Hello: I am not associated with Build a Bear but I do have a company that does the same thing but we are mobile. We do private parties, corporate events and school fundraisers. This is the way to go if you are going to have a business doing this. The overhead is minimal and the demand is great. If you want more info please email me and I can help you with the start up. It is very minimal and you can make lots of money. Thanks!
