Saturday is Day 2 of Franchise Fever, the Association of Filipino Franchisers Inc.’s annual franchise exposition at the Mega Trade Hall of SM Mega Mall.
As in past years, the expo is drawing large crowds of business minded visitors searching for ideas and opportunities in the field of franchising.
The three-day show kicked off with the ribbon cutting done by AFFI officers together with Plantersbank Chairman, Ambassador Jesus P. Tambunting; PhilExport Chairman Sergio Ortiz-Luis and Entrepreneur School of Asia Chairperson Vivienne Tan. The opening program, hosted by AFFI Chairman Emeritus, Ms. Pacita Juan, began with a prayer led by GMB Franchise Developers Inc. President Armando O. Bartolome. Ms. Teresita L. Ngan Tian, AFFI Chairman and President of Lots ‘A Pizza Corp., welcomed guests to the show, while AFFI President and Milkin Corp. President Ricardo Cuna talked about franchise show vis-à-vis AFFI’s goals.
Guests of honor Ambassador Tambunting, Mr. Ortiz Luis and Ms Tan delivered their congratulatory remarks. Mr. Cuna declared the Franchise Fever show officially open at around noon, signaling the start of the booth tour where visitors could view the exhibits of the close to 100 show participants.
