ColorTymers nationwide gathered in Memphis July 5-8 for the 2006 National Convention, “Together We’re On the Move,� featuring four days of fun and learning to celebrate the company’s record growth (more than 40 ColorTyme stores opened over the past year).
++At the event’s general session, ColorTyme President and CEO Bob Bloom, along with Rent-A-Center President and COO Mitch Fadel, addressed the attendees regarding the company’s growth and the state of the rent-to-own industry. Guest speaker John Cassis, a former California Angels baseball player and the Chicago Bears’ pre-game speaker since 1983, also gave an inspirational address.
Father and son franchisees John and Mark Martin were honored as ColorTyme’s Eagle Award recipients during the general session. Top New Franchisee awards went to Scott Brown and Louis Garcia. Bloom also announced the creation of a new award, the ColorTyme Circle of Excellence, awarded in 2006 to Mike and Morganna Harwood, ColorTyme’s largest franchisee.
