50 Gold’s Gym Centers Planned

Global Fitness Holdings has said it plans to develop 50 fitness centers in Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee by 2012, including seven under way in Greater Cincinnati.

The centers currently under construction are in West Chester and Bellevue. Amenities include an indoor swimming pool, elevated indoor track, full basketball, racquetball and squash courts, cardio deck with 150 pieces of equipment, group exercise classrooms, cardio movie cinema, women-only fitness area, locker rooms, steam rooms, dry sauna and tanning beds.

The centers range in size from 45,000 to 60,000 square feet.
