
THE Franchise International Malaysia 2006 (FIM 2006), an annual exhibition organised by Malaysia Franchise Association, is expected to act as a platform to attract foreign investments into Malaysia.”FIM will encompass an exhibition, conference and seminar, but most importantly, it will be a stage for enterpreneurs to form strategic alliances,” said FIM organising committee chairman, Izham Yusoff.
He said the theme “Franchise Makes Sense”, FIM 2006 aims to draw new life into the spirit of entrepreneurship in Malaysia.
The sixth FIM will be held at the Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur from August 3 to 6.
It is expected to pull in 120 exhibitors and more than 10,000 visitors.Both exhibitors and visitors will comprise potential and existing entrepreneurs in the country and abroad.
Last year, over 8,000 people visited the event which drew franchisees, franchisors and master franchisees from around the world.
“The Malaysian franchise industry still has room to expand, particularly for business owners who want to boost earnings but lack financing,” Izham said.
