Crantock Bakery, the award-winning makers of Cornish pasties, is flying the Cornish flag abroad with the opening of a brand new shop in Spain.
Forget a warm pasty on the beaches of Marazion, lovers of the pastry treat will now be able to enjoy their favourite snack on the Costa Blanca shores of Puerto de Mazarrón, the latest of 7 Spanish towns to be graced with an outlet selling Crantock Bakery products.
Crantock has teamed up with 2 Spanish-based retailers – ‘The Pasty Shack’ and ‘Tasty Pastry’ – who are opening up shops across Spain. Since last autumn ‘The Pasty Shack’’, which operates the new Mazarrón store, already has 5 shops up and running and 3 more are in the pipeline to open in the next 6 weeks. Meanwhile the Newquay-based bakery is exporting its pasties to Germany, Portugal, and Holland.
