Bookstore crossword has launched its fifth store in Ahmedabad. The store located at Freeway Mall on SG road stocks a wide variety of books, movies, music, toys, CD-ROMs and stationary.
The children’s section has been done well with more space then other stores. The design of the new store is done on the basis of customers’ response coming from other four stores of the city, says Gaurav Shah who has franchisee of the store in Ahmedabad.
The store is designed in such a way that it offers more free space to the customers, he says.
The store has good collection in all the sections. Gaurav says that crossword has also focused in increasing Gujarati book reading by increasing stock of Gujarati books.
Talking about his experience he says that in first store at Mithakhali there were initially only two racks of Gujarati books. Now there are eight. Hindi book reading has unfortunately not picked up. There are only two racks of Hindi books.
On the occasion, Mr. B S Nagesh, chairman, Crossword bookstores ltd stated, “As our cities get increasingly congested and our customers unwilling to travel beyond their catchment to shop, we are expanding our network of bookstores to enable customers to access our stores easily and shop conveniently.
