Small-Business Center Sets Franchising Seminar

Franchising as a way to own a business will be the topic of a free seminar at Central Arizona College’s Small Business Development Center in Casa Grande.

“Exploring Business Ownership via Franchising” will be presented Saturday morning, Oct. 21. The session will run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the center, 1015 E. Florence Blvd.

Although admission is free and open to the public, said Bennett Curry, Small Business Development Center director, reservations are required. They may be made by calling 494-5341 or via e-mail at sbdc@centralaz.edu.

The instructor will be Linda Irvin, a consultant and coach with The Enterprise Source, a business ownership consulting organization.

Irvin will lead a discussion about self-employment and explain franchising as an avenue to business ownership. She also will address growth trends and financial requirements in franchising.
