Coffee Time’s parent company Chairman’s Brand Corporation is pleased to announce its purchase of the assets of Afton Food Group, bringing 128 units of Robin’s Donuts, 85 units of 241 Pizza and 11 units of Mrs. Powell’s Cinnamon Buns into the fold, alongside over 300 Coffee Time locations.

“As a result of this acquisition, Chairman’s Brand Corporation is now positioned to double its size in Canada from coast to coast to coast,” says company founder Tom Michalopoulos, who started the business from one shop in Bolton, Ontario 24 years ago. “Our proven expertise in franchising will be applied to all of our brands both domestically and internationally.”

“With a combined unit presence of over 525 locations from Nova Scotia to British Columbia, Coffee Time, Robin’s Donuts, 241 Pizza and Mrs. Powell’s are all poised for synergistic growth in the Canadian market and abroad,” adds Executive Vice President, Dan Lepidas. “Coffee Time’s commitment to growth and development will create opportunities for dynamic people to share in our future. We hope to give existing and new franchisees an opportunity to develop their own cafes or pizzerias.”
