Spring-Green Lawn Care is pleased to announce that Harold Enger, franchise support director of training, recently completed the Principles of Turfgrass Management – Certified Turfgrass Professional coursework.
This certification, offered by the Department of Certificate Programs at the University of Georgia (UGA) Center for Continuing Education Conference Center & Hotel in Athens, Ga., helps participants master up-to-date turfgrass management practices and procedures; understand the principles of warm-and cool-season turfgrass establishment, growth, maintenance, and troubleshooting; and become Certified Turfgrass Professionals (CTP).
Additionally, Enger was recently nominated by peers as a PLANET (Professional Landcare Network) Trailblazer for his contributions and leadership in the green industry and in 2005 he received the Leadership Award sponsored by Lawn and Landscape magazine and Bayer Environmental Science. Enger is recognized as a professional who has influenced the state of the industry and raised the bar for his colleagues.
The PLANET Trailblazers program recognizes an elite group of individuals who have made significant and long-term contributions to the green industry in four categories: lawn care; interior plantscaping; landscape management and design/build/installation.
“We are very proud of Enger’s accomplishments this year, said James Young, president of Spring-Green Lawn Care. “His leadership and performance exemplify his outstanding commitment to Spring-Green Lawn Care and the green industry overall. “
Prior to joining Spring-Green Lawn Care in 1997, Enger spent eight years working with Tempo 21 LawnBeautiful and 10 years with Barefoot Grass.
