Franchising in Italy is protected by the law: the act n. 129, 25th May 2004, ‘Rules ordering the trades affiliation’, leggefranchising.it. It keeps on generating employment, as demonstrated by the 2577 new jobs in 2005; the most relevant fields are clothing, food and restaurants, travelling, real estate and credits brokerage.
