Restaurant-chain operator Denny’s Corp. on Friday named Sam Wilensky acting chief operating officer, a new position that is part of a corporate realignment.
Wilensky, 48, director of franchisee operations, will serve in the post until a permanent successor is named, expected by the end of 2007. The position consolidates responsibilities for company and franchise operations.
In addition, Chief Financial Officer Mark Wolfinger, 51, had added the title executive vice president, growth initiatives, overseeing development and information technology.
Craig Herman, 55, senior vice president of company operations, is retiring. He will be replaced by senior vice president Janis Emplit, 50.
