The annual FASA Awards for brand excellence, held on 12 October 2006, saw King Pie walking away with two prestigious awards, namely Brand Builder of the Year and Franchisor of the Year. In the former, King Pie triumphed over fast food competitors Scooters Pizza and St Elmo’s, while in the latter successfully defeating Sasol and Butterfields.

The FASA Awards for Excellence in Franchising, held annually, celebrate not only the top achievers in the industry, but have become the franchising industry’s highest accolade and the vehicle through which the world is shown how successful franchising can be.

King Pie’s brand building efforts can be noted in the manner in which the concept of the franchise has transformed from pie to fast food outlet with the introduction of combo feasts and kiddies meals. On the whole, King Pie has introduced a totally new brand image which is currently being rolled out through all their stores.
