A Pizza Pit employee from Coralville faces a drug possession charge after he allegedly left a bag of his marijuana in the restaurant’s deposit bag that he dropped off at the bank last month.

Adrian M. Hilton, 25, of 937 Apadana Ct., Coralville, is accused of marijuana possession after bank employees at American Bank and Trust, 805 22nd Ave., found a bag of marijuana in the Pizza Pit deposit bag which had been dropped in the night deposit box on Sept. 17.

After bank employees alerted police, a Pizza Pit owner identified Hilton as the one who made the deposit and the one who placed the marijuana in the bag at work, a criminal complaint states.

Hilton completed a statement for the company admitting the marijuana was his and that he inadvertantly deposited it at the bank, but he refused to speak with police without an attorney, the complaint states.
