Austinites hankering for a tasty cheesesteak now have another option for lunch and dinner.

Texadelphia, the 21-year-old eatery specializing in burgers and cheesesteaks, has opened its ninth Austin location at the southeast corner of Anderson Lane and Shoal Creek Boulevard.

The new restaurant offers Texadelphia’s traditional menu, along with new appetizers and a new children’s menu. There is outdoor deck seating available and five televisions for game-watching.

“We have had Anderson Lane on our map for many years, and have been waiting for the ideal location,” says Mark Turner, owner of Texadelphia. “The accessibility to the businesses off of MoPac, as well as the neighborhoods around the store, are an ideal mix for us.”

Texadelphia first opened its doors across the street from the University of Texas in 1985, and Turner bought the franchise in 1997. Since then, Texadelphia has grown to nine Central Texas stores and was named one of the city’s fastest growing companies by the Austin Business Journal in 2001 and 2002.

The newest location, at 7849 Shoal Creek Blvd., will be open for dine-in and take-out meals from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. The store will also fulfill catering and online orders.
