By next fall, a Gilbert man expects to own 11 Rosati’s Pizza restaurants in Arizona and Nevada.

Brad Faber’s new Valley franchises are planned for Casa Grande, Chandler, Phoenix and Laveen, and he’ll open one in the Las Vegas area.

That will nearly double the six Rosati’s that he currently operates. Faber, who opened his first Rosati’s, a carryout and delivery store at Val Vista Drive and Elliot Road in 2001, also owns two shops each in Mesa and Phoenix as well as one in the Las Vegas-area.

The key to his success, Faber says, is passion. He’s in one of his stores every day.

“You love your place and care about it, you’re going to be successful,” he said. “You’re trying to invest and make a quick dollar, you’re going to struggle.”

Faber is one of 12 Rosati’s franchisees in Arizona. The parent company, Rosati’s Franchise Systems Inc., has 142 stores operating in seven states, including 33 in Arizona.

Stephen Rosati, a franchisor with the parent company and owner of four Illinois restaurants, said the company’s pizza ingredients are important. Cheese comes from Wisconsin, and sausage from Illinois.
