
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Following a six-month national search, Wendy’s (WEN) stayed within the company and named Kerrii Anderson CEO. Anderson, 49, was interim CEO and prior to that chief financial officer. The selection by the board of directors was unanimous.
Anderson emerges as fast-food’s most powerful female leader — and the first woman to fill the permanent CEO slot at fast-food giants McDonald’s, Burger King or Wendy’s.
A turnaround at Wendy’s began shortly after Anderson took over as interim CEO in April 2006,
