ChristiaNet.com the world’s largest Christian portal with twelve million monthly page loads, asked readers in a recent survey, “Should Christians invest in a business franchise?” A sweeping majority feel that Christians should be able to invest in business franchises as long as their priorities reflect putting God first. Christians should be careful to make investments in the Kingdom of God and not for the purpose of acquiring monetary riches. Bill Cooper, President of ChristiaNet.com, stated, “When faced with a difficult decision never rush, always pray and seek God for the answer, and be as informed as possible.” (http://www.christianet.com/franchises/)

Out of 298 responses, 201 participants answered “yes” to the survey question. While running one’s own business can be a rewarding vocation, Believers should realize that it can be extremely time consuming. One participant stated, “As long as it is a wholesome venture, and will not consume too much time so that you neglect your family and service to God.” Many seem to agree that it is very important when becoming involved with business franchises to choose the right one. It should be a legitimate business that is operated with honesty and integrity.
