A national chain focused on the $22 billion battery business has opened its third store in Jacksonville. Batteries Plus, which has more than 250 stores across the country, opened its newest store Nov. 20 on San Jose Boulevard.
The store offers thousands of different types of batteries for consumer and commercial customers, ranging from batteries for watches and cameras to those for electronic voice boxes, solar landscape lights and paintball guns.
The newest store is the fourth franchise for owner Branham Garth, who is planning two additional locations in Jacksonville. The store provides the equipment and expertise to allow customers to assemble, test and rebuild custom battery packs for rechargeable household and commercial products.
The Wall Street Journal’s guide for entrepreneurs earlier this year named Batteries Plus one of the 25 high-performing franchise brands doing business in the U.S.
