Australian electrical retailer, Harvey Norman, plans to expand in Ireland after it posted group sales that rose 18% in the first four months of the year.
Group chairman Gerald Harvey said sales from stores in Australia, New Zealand, Slovenia and Ireland increased by 18% to AUS$1.67 billion (€1bn).
Mr Harvey said the company had ambitions to become a global retailer and was looking to increase its overseas presence, but would focus on countries where it already had outlets.
