Asmart Business:

The Smart franchise is poised to expand across New Zealand. With the pilot Smart franchise operating since 2003, Smart’s key focus has been developing its franchise system and operations. “The first three years of being in the Smart franchise have been about getting the recipe right because that’s what franchising is about – it’s a recipe and it’s got to be sure to rise every time, said Director Sue Sarich.

“We have invested heavily in the right technology and personnel to ensure that the Smart franchise is set up to best franchising practice standards right from the start, says Sue.

As a result, the second Smart franchise has now opened in Hastings, Hawke’s Bay, and the number of Smart franchise offices is set to leap ahead. There are plans to ultimately open 40 Smart franchises across New Zealand, and the aim is to open at least 12 within two years.

“It’s no secret our company is New Zealand’s most pioneering business service outsourcing brand, says national franchise manager Glenice Whittle. “Franchisees are able to get in on the ground floor with the opportunities being created by the Smart franchise.

Sue tells prospective franchisees that the right franchise owners are vitally important to Smart’s marketplace success.

“Our support office team is totally committed, I am totally committed, and the first Smart Franchisee is totally committed to Smart’s business success. Through that we will drive our Smart franchise business forward, she said. “Our objective is to make a Smart franchise a keenly sought after franchise by increasing franchise owners profit and the value of their business, and if we do that the rest will follow. Our success could be your success and your success will be our success.
