New Delhi: India’s first radio film aimed at bringing focus on the harm caused to historical monuments by shooting films with artificial light on these locations, and Pizza Hut, the world’s largest pizza chain, have secured an entry into the prestigious Limca Book of Records.
‘Kuch Kuch Sunta Hai’, the first radio film made by the radio channel Radio Mirchi with its radio jockeys in the lead roles, has been given a certification from Limca Book of Records for ‘’supporting the Archaeological Survey of India’s stand that shooting films with artificial light harms historical monuments.”
At the same time, Pizza Hut has entered the Limca Book with a record-breaking pizza delivery of 1100 pizzas to a single location in October.
In its certification to Radio Mirchi, the Limca Book said: ”Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM shot the first radio film ‘Kuch Kuch Sunta Hai’ on June 23, 2006 at Lodhi Gardens, New Delhi. The radio jockeys played the lead roles in the movie that was aired simultaneously from 6 – 7 pm on ‘Bumper2Bumper’ to support the Archaeological Survey of India’s stand that shooting films with artificial light harms historical monuments.”
The certification awarded to Pizza Hut said: ”The largest delivery order was by six Pizza Hut restaurants of Delhi which ensured that the entire 1100 pizzas reached Jaipur polo grounds before 0930 hrs for the polo match organised for the students of Vasant Valley on October 16, 2006.”
The novel initiative by the radio station as well as the record by Pizza Hut will feature in the 2007 edition of Limca Book of Records.
