Brinker To Sell 89 Company-Owned Chili’s Outlets

Brinker International Inc. on Thursday said it will sell 89 company-owned Chili’s restaurants to Pepper Dining Inc. as part of a plan to increase franchise ownership of its brands.

Pepper Dining, an affiliate of Olympus Partners, plans to develop an additional 20 to 44 Chili’s outlets in the Eastern United States.

Brinker is working to expand domestic and international franchise ownership of its brands to 30 percent from 20 percent in the next 12 months.
