ROASTERS Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd (RAP) plans to expand its market in Asia Pacific by opening more Kenny Rogers Roasters restaurants in five years.
The company, which is the master franchisee for the restaurants in Asia Pacific, will open Pakistan’s first Kenny Rogers Roasters restaurant by the end of January before moving into other potential markets in the region in the first quarter of 2007.
“Our first outlet in Pakistan will be in Karachi,” Berjaya Group executive director Francis Lee told Business Times in an interview in Kuala Lumpur recently.
Roasters Asia Pacific is owned by property developer and gaming operator Berjaya Corp Bhd, which also holds the franchise to some of the best-known brands like Starbucks Coffee and the 24-hour 7-Eleven convenience stores.
