Ferraccio Drive-In Restaurants of Pennsylvania Inc., comprised of Joe Ferraccio, Brian Ferraccio, and Robert Dunn, has signed an area development agreement with Sonic.
The group plans to develop Sonic restaurants in the northern parts of the Pittsburgh region and is currently evaluating various site locations in the counties of Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler and Westmoreland. The group plans to eventually open 15 locations. Calling itself America’s Drive In, Sonic claims to be the nation’s largest chain of drive-in restaurants with more than 3,200 drive-ins through out the country.‘We are very excited to open our first Sonic and help introduce residents to tater tots and cherry limeades,’ said Joe Ferraccio, a former grocery store operator. ‘The unique menu offerings, innovative ordering process and fun atmosphere are sure to be a hit in Pittsburgh.’
