Starbucks Picks Its CEO For India

MUMBAI: The hunt for the man to head India operations of the world’s largest coffee chain, Starbucks is finally over.
Anoop Sequeira, CEO, Global Franchise Architects (GFA) is tipped to take over as the CEO of Starbucks India.

An industry source disclosed that Sequeira, who manages GFA brands like Pizza Corner and Coffee World in India had been chosen to launch and establish Starbucks in India.

This puts to rest industry buzz that someone from its Indonesian operations was being drafted to head India. When contacted, Sequeira declined to comment.

While relatively unknown in India, Fred Mouawad promoted GFA, owns brands like Coffee World, The Cream and Fudge Factory, Doughnut Baker and New York Deli globally.
