There are plenty of opportunities for Malaysians to tap the franchising sector in Indonesia, according to Trade Mart, Matrade’s official publication.
It said among the areas which projected high demand growth were restaurant and fast-food outlets, education, mini markets, quick printing, laundry and dry cleaning as well as fitness centres.
This was in addition to other identifiable high growth sectors like automotive, apparel, beauty, information technology (IT), hotels, car rentals, retail goods and food products.
With more than 240 million people, Indonesia is a market with great potential for business to expand, the publication said.
Currently, there are 385 franchises in the republic compared with only 35 in 1992.
