When it comes to legal compliance and dispute resolution, the International Franchise Association is committed to helping the franchising community build strong systems centered on healthy franchise relations. IFA’s Franchise Sales Compliance program - a critical component of the association’s comprehensive Self Regulation program - equips franchisees with the tools to evaluate a franchise investment, and informs franchisors about the disclosure process.

Launched in 1998 in conjunction with the Federal Trade Commission, the program is offered at no cost to first-year IFA members and is available to the more than 1,100 franchisors, 8,000 franchisees and 400 suppliers the association serves.

The program’s newly-appointed administrator, attorney Joel Buckberg, delivers the half-day comprehensive program and detailed training sessions to franchise systems at their headquarters locations. More than 50 franchise systems have participated in the program since its inception.
