MEDIchair Awarded Veterans Affairs Canada Contract

MEDIchair, North America’s largest and fastest growing Home Medical Equipment (HME) franchise company is pleased to announce that following a Request For Proposal process, it has been awarded a Special Equipment Inventory Recycling contract by Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) for the province of Ontario. VAC may also extend MEDIchair’s two year contract by one year.

“This is our second significant contract from VAC in the last 12 months,� says Susan Tarrant, Director, Regional Support East. “It demonstrates that we have the knowledge, the expertise and the capabilities to properly service large geographical areas.�

Under terms of the contract, MEDIchair will support and assist VAC, Ontario Region, in 9.5 of its 11 geographical markets with the operation of VAC’s Special Equipment program including equipment recycling. MEDIchair stores will provide secure storage, transportation, installation/removal, repair and maintenance, and disposal of medical assistive devices for VAC. Medical assistive devices include, but are not restricted to, manual and power wheel chairs, scooters, and specialty bedroom and bathroom equipment.
