Schlotzsky’s Ltd., which was bought last November by Atlanta-based Focus Brands Inc. for an undisclosed amount, is testing a new concept in Austin that includes adding Carvel ice cream and Cinnabon items to its menu.
Focus, which also owns Carvel and Cinnabon, will make Carvel and Cinnabon items available on Schlotzsky’s menus at the 218 South Lamar Blvd. and 13201 FM 620 locations in Austin starting today.
These two locations mark the first partnership ever between Schlotzsky’s and its two sister companies.
Carvel will offer its soft serve ice cream and hand dipped flavors, as well as a variety of fountain style products, including cups, cones, sundaes and shakes, which are all made fresh daily. In addition, Cinnabon will serve its Cinnabon classic rolls, caramel pecanbons, cinnapacks and cinnabonstix, all of which are made fresh every hour with makara cinnamon. The store will also provide CarameLatta Chills, MochaLatta Chills and Chillattas, Cinnabon’s frozen blended beverage line.
