World’s Largest Chain of Ice Cream Specialty Stores Partners with National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to Pay Tribute to America’s Heroes
Here’s the scoop! Baskin-Robbins is kicking off summer early with a special 31 Cent Scoop Night celebration on May 2, 2007. During the event, ice cream lovers will have the opportunity to enjoy their favorite Baskin-Robbins ice cream flavor for only 31 cents while paying tribute to local heroes.
America’s favorite ice cream store is partnering with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF), an organization that honors America’s fallen fire heroes and their families. In celebration of 31 Cent Scoop Night, Baskin-Robbins will honor fire fighting heroes by making a $100,000 donation to the worthy organization. Since 1992, NFFF has developed and expanded programs to honor fallen fire heroes and assist their families and coworkers. The money donated by Baskin-Robbins will be used to help support the organization’s programs including “Everyone Goes Home,” a program that helps to prevent fire fighting line-of-duty deaths and injuries.
“31 Cent Scoop Night gives us a wonderful opportunity to show customers our appreciation and at the same time support a great organization, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation,” said Ken Kimmel, Baskin-Robbins’ brand officer. “We are thrilled to host this event and mark the unofficial start to summer.
