A Midwest company that is franchising a concept it likens to ESPN Zone, GameWorks and Dave & Busters is seeking a franchisee here.

inPlay, which is short for indoor play, offers 3 concepts in one 35,000 to 45,000 square-foot facility: virtual reality and sport games, a sports bar, and a banquet and conference center, which will host everything from wedding receptions to corporate and community events.

‘We’ve got something for everybody – age 5 to 65,’ said Tom Duncan, a partner in the Des Moines, Iowa-based franchising arm of inPlay.

The 3-level concept helps keep business steady, with corporate events helping fill what would otherwise be quiet times during the week, Duncan said.

The menu is typical for a sports bar – burgers, pizza, sandwiches and munchies, Duncan said. Read more.
