
After the crisis that stroke Russia in 1998, involving most of the ex Soviet Republics, the economy of Kazakhstan has been starting its recovery from the second half of 2000, strengthening more and more thanks to the propitious external circumstances for the country and to the macroeconomic policy carried on by the Government.
It was towards 2005 that the crisis of franchise system in Russia started. Many franchisors began looking for new markets to develop the franchise formula and the Kazakhstan has shown to be the most propitious. The driving category is the real estate staying at the first place in the list of franchise sectors.
Franchise in Kazakhstan can trust in the Kazakhstan Franchise Association, founded in February 2002 as a no profit association, aiming to promote and increase the system of franchise.
Nowadays Kazakhstan has its own specific law impacting franchising agreements.
