AmRest, a franchisee of the KFC and Pizza Hut fast food chains, has announced that on 3 May it opened Poland’s first Burger King restaurant in Warsaw. The launch was in line with the franchise agreement signed between the 2 parties on 8 March 2007 pertaining to the opening and management by AmRest of Burger King establishments in Poland.
Adding the new name to the AmRest portfolio means that it has strengthened its standing in the Quick Service Restaurant arena. Burger King is the second largest fast-food chain in terms of the number of establishments. It operates over 11,000 outlets in 65 countries.
