Huddle House, Inc., a full service family restaurant chain with 430 locations known for serving any meal, all day for the past 40 years, recently opened its second military post restaurant, this time at the Fort Polk Louisiana Army Post, as the chain continues its nationwide military base expansion.
“If Huddle House has its way, soldiers all across country will have good home-style cooking as an option for their three squares a day,” said Phil Greifeld, President & CEO of Huddle House. “The men, women and families who are stationed on these posts are the same people who have enjoyed Huddle House for years, and we are eager and prepared to open additional locations on other posts.”
Huddle House is now successfully operating Fort Gordon, GA and Fort Polk, LA military post locations with discussions underway for future partnering of Huddle House with the U.S. Army on military posts throughout the southeast. A partnership with the Army’s “Morale, Welfare and Recreation” (MWR) organization is to credit for Huddle House opening its second location on an Army post. The MWR provides active-duty, reserve and retired personnel and their families with sports and physical fitness activities, child development and youth programs, and a variety of food and beverage services, including a Huddle House at two military locations.
