A Baldwin woman claims she found a nail in her chicken pot pie she bought from KFC.
Her husband, Valente DiCesare, 62, says they were almost finished with their meal when his wife realized it was in her mouth. He says she nearly swallowed it.
Spokesman Rick Maynard says KFC takes all food safety claims very seriously and immediately investigates them. He says the customer has been contacted on more than one occasion by the insurance company and the franchisee’s area coach as recently as Monday.
The statement concludes, ‘The claim is being thoroughly investigated and the franchisee has apologized to the customer for any inconvenience.’
