Channel News Asia:

PrimaDeli, Singapore’s first home-grown bakery franchise, is the latest eating establishment to receive the halal food certification from the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore.

PrimaDeli has 38 retail outlets island wide offering more than 400 varieties of pastries, buns, bread and cakes.

And after 15 years, it has decided to tap into the halal market and increase its customer base.

The certification process took 1 and a half years to complete and plenty of research was done to modify recipes without affecting taste. With the halal mark, the company expects annual sales to increase by an average of 20% over the next 3 years.
