The Polish franchising market is swiftly growing up. Before 2002 we observed an emergence of an average of 10-15 networks per year, 26 new systems were launched in 2002, 27 in 2003 and 39 in 2004.

The absolute record was broken in 2005 when the number of franchise networks increased by 64, and 258 franchise systems were counted, by the end of 2006 we can count 300 franchisors operating in Poland.

Franchising is becoming very common as a method of running one’s own business, even if its spreading is restrained by the lacking of information and suitable systems of credit for enterprises. Nowadays we count 12,500 franchising networks operating most in the retail, especially of clothing and shoes.

We can also count many franchisor coming from other countries as Germany, France and United States.

Franchising in Poland can trust in the Polish Franchise Association, which aims to create the ideal and favourable circumstances to develop the franchise, especially dealing with legal and financials subjects…
